Backup? What backup?
Congratulations! You have been performing a daily backup of your ProfitMaker data (and if you haven’t been, you really should be). But is performing the backup enough? The answer to that is no. Performing the backup itself is but the first step in protecting your ProfitMaker data. The second step is to test that backup.
On a regular basis those backups should be tested and verified that they will indeed assist you should the worst happen. Depending on your backup media (CD, DVD, Flash Drive, External Hard Drive, Tape Drive, Online Backup to name a few), the restore process can be very simple. By performing the restore process, you will find out if your backup routine is in fact backing up the correct information, or if it needs to be modified to include/exclude information. It can also help you to avoid possible bad media in case you really do need to recover your data.
