What to do if you get a message, “Setup Routines Not Found in the System DSN”?
When integrating with manifest shipping software and the ProfitMaker system, one of steps in the integration process is the creation of ODBC drivers on the machine that is running the shipping software. For the shipping software to export information back to ProfitMaker, it may use ODBC text drivers. When setting up these drivers in Windows XP, they are created by accessing the System DSN area in Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Data Sources (ODBC). If you decide to add a text driver and get a prompt with the message ‘Setup routines not found in the system DSN’, there is a procedure you can use to address this situation.
This solution was presented by the support page of the Microsoft website (www.microsoft.com). In Windows XP, click on the ‘Start’ button and select the ‘Run’ function. Then, type in the following:
Regsvr32 C:\windows\system32\odbcconf.dll
This will register a configuration dynamic link library file and allow the user to add the needed ODBC text drivers.
